The entire floor we were on smelled like an old, stale ashtray. We do not smoke, but were put in a king smoking room. We asked to be put in a nonsmoking room, but were told the room could not be switched as we booked theiugh expedia. We noted that there was no option for nonsmoking, only size of room and showed this. Still told there was nothing that could be done. It was late and no tefund on an overpriced room, so we took the room. IT SMELLED HORRID!!!! We ended up barely sleeping and sick from the nicotine in the room and on our floor. I had to take migraine medicine, it was like being in a bar with all the patrons smoking. There was no relief from the smell and no fresh air to be had. The room was barely clean. And it had a full kitchen, but no cups, plates, pans, etc. Not even kitchen towels. Only IHG hotel where we have seen smoking even allowed inside the rooms.....and clearly encouraged as there were ashtrays. WILL NEVER EVER STAY HERE AGAIN. Also, only IHG hotel with no breakfast at all.....a total rip off for the prices they are charging. WORST hotel experience and we stay in hotels a lot. Mayeb if desk staff were not too busy canoodling with one another they could have at least given us a non smoking room in this subpar hotel.
