Liked about property : beautiful coral reefs, amazing staff and hospitality, always cheerful and happy. Warm welcome by the staff and the snorkelling excursion with 30min lesson at dive centre was totally worth it. We had booked 3 nights at the water villa and 2 nights at the pool villa. We definitely recommend water villa as it’s simply breathtaking. Didn’t like about property : our island host Nasih wasn’t really helpful at all. This is a 5 star hotel and clients are paying top dollars at such places. Clients shouldn’t have to chase the island host for information. our island host only came to greet us once we called to ask why didn’t we receive an island host yet. Out of the 5 nights, we only saw our island host once. If you ask a question over whatsapp you only get a reply after 2-3 hours therefore you can’t plan your day properly. In-villa dinning had hair in food. After complaining they decided to waive off the bill. However it left a negative experience. Our island host booked dinner for us at Dr.Ali on Sunday and didn’t tell us it was set menu (we were wanting a la carte). We got upset as we weren’t advised of this. We took time to get ready and was looking forward to spend a nice evening to have dinner. We ended up leaving the resto without eating there.

Beautiful natural landscaping, secluded large island, wonderful water villas, lovely interior and exterior design and water sport activities.
Trip of a lifetime, everything from the staff to our water villa to the food was incredible. Highly recommend the romantic dinner for 2 on the beach.
Staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The overwater villa is very spacious with great attention to details. The view is just breathtaking.
The island was very nice but the facilities were limited
Great hotel, fantastic service
Great hotel at the wonderful island.
Liked: the island is beautiful Disliked: the staff is not just bad, but extremely bad
Our 8 days stay (5 at deluxe villa and 3 at sea villa) was good however compared with the price paid ( 640 for deluxe villa and 730 for sea villa) it was disappointing to say the least. Accommodations were a bit old, 3 restaurants available for lunch and dinner were extremely expensive and only breakfast included into our package for free. It's an isolated place with no other options but to have dinner at those restaurants or attend any other offered activity. The staff were great and helpful the food quality was excellent however the only issue i see is the business model that Shangri La decided to run at their hotel and aging factor of their accommodations. Nothing for free and pay extreme prices at the restaurant or to attend any watersport or side activity offered by the hotel . I feel for the great local staff working there however it's a rip off judging through my travels world wide. We're never coming back.
