Hearton Hotel Minamisenba - Osaka
Dull hotel located in a quiet corner at night
Slightly disappointed at this hotel. The economy double bed is too small for two person, even though we are asian sizes, still is only good for one adult comfortably. TV channels are mostly in Japanese so hard to comment. The street whereby the hotel is located is very dark and need to walk to Shinsaibashi or Dotonburi for food at night, coz there's no nearby restaurants or shops. Neighbourhood is quiet and dark, unlike Namba Oriental Hotel (very good location) which we stayed at the later part of the trip. Its only few minutes walk to Shinsaibashi, so for some its quite convenient if you have a lot of things to buy there. But other than that, it's a dull looking tired hotel with tired rooms, so we will not be going back. It gives off a depressing feel somehow due to old and white lightings in the hotel public areas.

Very old and smoky. Even the non-smoking rooms have smoky smell. The whole hotel feels dated and rundown. Very uncomfortable stay

Great location
The hotel had a great location. It was just walking distance to shinshibashi closed roof shopping, americamura, denden town, dotonburi and namba and a short train ride to both Osaka castle and Universal. The room was simple but adequate for our needs which is just a place to rest in between sightseeing. The staff was friendly and fluent in english. It has easy access to Namba Nankai for the train to Kansai airport.
