Re-think Your Stay Here
Because my husband and me sometimes stay in Courtyard Marriot in other cities, I was happy to make a reservation at Courtyard Marriot, Portland. Unfortunately, we were unpleasantly surprised by the overnight parking fee of $42.00, which, if mentioned on the website, I missed. Additionally, we were also disappointed in the general surrounding area which is unkept; with multiple homeless camps, and unsafe appearing ‘food pavilions’ (‘camps’ of small, dirty trailers grouped together and who sell various foods). Many, many street signs in this area are so faded they’re unreadable, and/or are occluded by overgrown trees — which also make navigation about the area challenging. While some might consider this downtown section of Portland ‘progressive’, we found it generally distasteful.
