Lovely. Well-kept hanging baskets and planters on arrival. A good sign! All staff great - attentive but never overly so. Lovely food. We had various meals and snacks at verifiable times trough out our stay and all was great.

A date with history
Great fun visiting a very traditional hotel - one with lots of history and interest. Also, had the largest four poster bed we've ever see - very comfortable too. Overall, a great stay in difficult circumstances due to the pandemic.

Had a lovely couple of nights in The Speech House Hotel. The staff were friendly but also professional. Room really comfortable and well equipped, and a good size. The restaurant was excellent, both for dinner and for breakfast. The hotel has a long and interesting history going back many hundreds of years. It's such a lovely location too, with lots of places within easy driving distance, but more importantly there's the beautiful Forest of Dean to enjoy. We would most definitely go back to the The Speech House Hotel.

A fantastic and memorable stay at The Speech Hotel, right in the centre of The Forest Of Dean. Amazing treks and beautiful scenery all around. Really enjoyed the stay and hospitality. Will return soon.

Couple with dogs
Enjoyable stay with our dogs, courtyard rooms are amazing for your 4 legged friends. Could do with a little updating but spacious and the hotel and it’s amenities more than make up for it! Very Covid secure if anyone is worried!
