Good Facilities With Bad Service
I called a day before my stay to tell them that the person who was checking in was going to be my boyfriend. It was supposed to be a birthday surprise for him, so I made it clear that the cake that was supposed to be sent up to the room should not be communicated to him. Unfortunately, the surprise was ruined when the person at check-in asked him when he would like the cake to be sent up. When I later arrived in the room, the cake was sent up even though I said that I will tell them when to bring it up. We told them to bring it back and only come back at 9 as we were about to head out. Flipping over the quilt revealed a few bloodstains. Called front desk to change it and they said they would, but even after 30 min, they were not there, so we had to call them again. Once again, only after 30 min did they arrive. Told them at 7.30pm to bring the cake up at 12am instead, along with 2 tubes of body wash because we were going to the gym and pool, lady at front desk told us face to face that she would arrange for that and we even saw her write it down. When we returned to our room at 9.45pm, the cake was on the table, which meant that the service staff entered the room even when we weren't around. This was very disappointing as our valuables were inside! How could they do that? Called front desk and was only met with receptionist saying "oh you don't feel safe?" No shit, Sherlock. Who would be able to account for things if we found that our valuables were gone? 5 star hotel? No.

Great Service But Still Can Be Better
The stay was great. Especially surprise by the lounge staff (Henny) who was proactive and innovative in providing solution to my request. However, Wifi in the room was not fantastic. It took me more than half an hour to get connected in the room, after figuring out with the Operator and Receptionist.

Good 6.0
Great for a 3 or 4 star - not for 5 star
Service at the 1st floor lobby wasn5 stars, but my check in was confusing, uninformative, and slow. I liked aesthetic of the room, but found aesthetic was chosen over functionality. Water pressure was low, bathroom lighting was low, hand faucet in bathtub didn’t work, and there was no electrical outlet near a mirror. I also didn’t think the box with the kettle and teas were very 5 star. The glasses were plastic. The things in that box should have been placed on built in shelving or something to give more space in a smaller room. I had just moved from the Hyatt and while the Park Grand CH had a much cooler vibe, the design and service left me wanting a lot more for a 5 star hotel. Price point was very good - maybe this is why some areas were lacking. Great location as well.

Reacommodated us when we complained about the noise of the aircon. Very good hotel and location.
