The breakfast was not that good as previous customers had said ,but very good hotel

Nice hotel in a very quiet location and yet only 5 minutes walk to the town centre, The room is nice but the bed is squeaky, every time I turned my body, the bed moved with a squeaky noise

Excellent service and ambiance. Valet parking and good wifi. Ample buffet breakfast.

We had read great things about the hotel and were excited for our stay. We arrived in town around noon and parked at the hotel, knowing we were early for check in but not wanting to have to move our car mid afternoon. The welcome was luke warm at best. She kept calling my husband they wrong name and we kept saying that wasn't his name. She then said there was a mistake and they didn't have a room for us, very matter of factly. She wasn't particularly apologetic and directed us to their sister hotel in town and said it was 5 star and we would be staying there. Fine. Not getting the warmest welcome we went on our way. When we got to the new hotel they kept calling us the wrong name again. We kept repeating that wasn't us. Instead of a suite they gave us 2 rooms - not what we paid for. Wifi was spotty. The beds had sheets - no duvet or comforter. Pool area has been covered in a net (not shown in pics) and has construction going on (rather unsightly). It definitely did not feel like a 5 star experience. Breakfast was good - but I have to agree dark and had no ambiance (it was so quiet no one talked because the entire room would hear you). All in all, a very odd experience.
