The was an excellent hotel, the staff were extremely polite and helpful and provided recommendations for where to go, and to eat in Chanonix. The hotel has great amenities and is a short walk from the Brevant gondola, meaning on arrival we were able to hire equipment from the hotel and be in the chairlift within 30 minutes. The Spa made for a very relaxing apres-ski and was never too crowded. Overall a great stay and would come again

Excellent stay. The room view was superb and with good amenities, the breakfast was great, and the staff was lovely. The spa was a nice touch after skiing sessions and required bookings in advance which was not a problem if done in advance. Jorge of reception staff was amazing with great recommendations for day trips and advice. My only point for improvement is the quality of the toilet paper which is subpar for this stay's pricepoint. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

The service was friendly and professional. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is wonderful with a great selection. The only thing lacking (and this is a small thing) is the spa. The water in the hot tub should be "HOT", around 103 degrees if it is to have the effect of a hot tub rather than at 95 degrees. But as I said, that's a small thing.

Our time at the Chalet Hôtel le Prieuré & Spa was ok. We enjoyed the evening time in the lobby bar by the fireplace, the post-skiing time in the spa and location of the hotel, however, the room amenities were average for the room price point, and the breakfast was relatively limited in its day-to-day variety. Even on Christmas Day, it was the same day-to-day offering with no innovative culinary surprises. Overall, we’d recommend the hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but wished for more on such a magic holiday seasonal time away.

The hotel worked great for two older guy friends skiing for a week. The thumbs up go to the excellent location, good clean rooms (very clean), helpful staff and convenience of an attached ski shop. The buffet breakfast was OK, but nothing to write home about. If you really care about a pool, sauna or hot tub this isn't the best choice. The spa area is small, and includes a steam room, pool and a two person home style hot tub with luke warm water. You have to book time to visit the spa area in advance because of its small size. Again, the hotel worked really well for us and we liked it, but had the spa area been better we would have been much happier. I suggest they dump the hot tub and install in a sauna. That would turn a negative into a positive even if it's a relatively small sauna. Just a thought as we do like the hotel, and it's only needing the spa to be upgraded to be much better.
