Perfect location for exploring old town
The location is wow!!! We were lucky to get a room facing the river and overlooking the old bridge. The castle and everything else you're in old town to see is just a few minutes walk. Clean, well maintained, friendly staff. The pillows were flatter than flat and the bed pretty firm, but the room was spacious (for European standards). Definitely recommend. Make time to get out of the city, too, for the Philosopher's Walk that starts at the other side of the old bridge. Great vantage point for views of the castle, bridge, and city.

Location location location! Right by the old bridge, I walked to everything in the city from the castle to the university and all down the walkplatz with all its shops, bakeries, and restaurants. If you're training in (I took S-bahn from Kaiserslautern), go to the closest station, Altstadt station, where you're a 12 min walk along the river to this hotel. :)

Wonderful service. Excellent location! Only complaints are 1) excessively loud noise from the road beyond 3 am (college town partying) so bring ear plugs if you want to sleep 2) read the small fine bring to know about extra fees and 3) parking discount only works for one day...we were there three

Top notch
Celebrated our 10 year anniversary at this hotel. They left a beautiful card, gift if german Christmas carols and two small bottles of champagne with orangr juice. Such kind attentive staff, we felt as if we were part of their family. Only small gripe was the price of the breakfast. Everything else was perfect.
