Totally underwhelmed with our stay. Car got blocked in the carpark and still had to pay £10 for the privilege. Room smelt of sewerage

6/10 Good

Barking dog in middle of the night in adjoining room. Fire alarm in middle of night with no explanation . Confusing charging policy on own car park Local car park adjacent but longish walk around with baggage and £12.50 a day. Confusing policy about foregoing room service meant there was no cleaning of room or replenishment of consumables - leaving dirty cups - un emptied bins - no attendance to bedding. We had inadvertently agreed to this apparently on check in - we thought it just applied to changing towels and bathroom cleaning. it was badged as an eco offer - in return for which we got a free glass of wine - bit of a cheap stunt for a hotel at this pricing . The staff were helpful when approached and the room was very good - especially appreciated air con

We'd stay in this hotel again.
Interesting old town house, and now a cosy hotel. Our room was large and well furnished with, thankfully in very hot weather, air conditioning. The bed was comfortable and the en suite bathroom was well equipped. There was a good choice for breakfast but we decided not to have dinner at the hotel in view of negative reviews so we tried local restaurants there's a good selection in the area.

Overpriced. Understaffed.
It’s ok. Just ok. Don’t get your hopes up. Don’t expect to park there. Our room was small, noisy and smelled of the drain. The hotel was fully booked on both nights so no chance to change despite the request. Long queue and wait to check in and out. On Friday the the hotel staff seemed particularly fed up. The restaurant team were all good and seemed to enjoy their jobs at least. And the place does look lovely. But I would pop in for a visit and not stay there next time. .

Great room with super king bed. Separate entrance on ground level - great for the dog. The room had everything we needed- fridge bottle opener glasses coffee machine kettle with a good selection of hot drinks. Iron and ironing board in the room. Great bath and shower all by with nice toiletries and bath robes. Great nights sleep
