Spring Pilgrimage Stay
We stayed at Hampton Inn on two consecutive weekends planning our trip to the south around the Natchez Spring Pilgrimage. Our first weekend room was clean but the AC would not turn off. Set the temp control to heat and it still sent cold air into the room. Middle of the night staff was great and got us extra blankets. The following weekend the clerk gave us an “upgrade”. While the room was clean it was “very tired”. The security lock was broken, bathroom had loose tiles, but the AC shut off! The first weekend the breakfast area was well maintained; second weekend the poor breakfast attendant was over run with guests. Trash was overflowing, she could not keep up. Interestingly, there were 3 people at the check-in area mostly visiting (no one was checking out or at the counter needing help) while I was waiting to get coffee when one could have been changing trash can liners. They also ran out of coffee every morning we were there. We’d stayed here in the past, this was not the same great experience we’d previously had. Location was great for what we were interested in doing. Management needed to do a better job scheduling adequate help during this busy time. We will probably check other hotels on our next visit.

This hotel, location, and staff exceeded my expectations. Easy to get to. We went to a wedding at a plantation only 6 miles away. Breakfast was delish. Staff very professional and friendly.

The room next to us was have a party in the middle of night. I can hear them in my room. The bathroom especially the tub did not look clean.
