This hotel is really unique which has pros and cons. First the pros: the staff was helpful and communicated well, the property is conveniently located close to Old Town San Juan, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked great and parking was easy and convenient. The cons all have to do with the age of the property. Perhaps the one con that was most troubling to us was that, due to the age of the building, we were asked to not put ANY paper (including toilet paper in the toilet), but to place all paper (including dirty toilet paper) in a container next to the toilet. This is the only reason we would not return to this property again. The last night we stayed there was a storm and the roof above our room leaked (again, due to the age of the building). Other than having to get up in the middle of the night to put pots under leaking spots, we truly weren’t inconvenienced because the leak was in the living room, not the bedroom. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for something inexpensive and close to Old San Juan as long as they are comfortable with not flushing any toilet paper down the toilet.
