The property was beautiful, but I found that the amenities were lacking for guests. Only certain things were available at certain times, the staff could not provide milk for my coffee in the morning, I had to get it from the kitchen, and apparently they are not the same company. It just seemed weird. The view from the room was amazing and the included tour was very good.

We had a wonderful stay at The Vine House. It is so beautiful, the location is just gorgeous, the views are absolutely to die for from the rooms and terrace and it is the most peaceful place to relax and unwind. I would definitely recommend a room with a balcony so you can sit and enjoy the surroundings. This is really more of a B&B than a fully equipped hotel as there aren't lots of facilities which we knew beforehand. The restaurant was delicious (although the portions a little small for the price perhaps) and pool setting beautiful (although it wasn't open during our stay). Staff were lovely and the tour of the vineyards was a lovely touch. Overall we would absolutely recommend this gorgeous spot

We have the staff an Excellent, but the only staff member that we had an excellent continuous interaction with was Lilli!!! She was fabulous! Booked us great reservations at restaurants and was always upbeat and interested! The restaurant was good, but the breakfast that was included was horrible. We had been all over Portugal eating many breakfasts that were included with the hotel and this one did not have a lot of effort pudding to it. The hotel rooms, location, and views were off the charts like nothing we had ever seen! The winery part of their destination is separate from their actual hotel and you can tell that. The tour which wasn’t included did not provide accurate information and seemed like she couldn’t wait to get it over with :-) but that said if you are looking for the most fabulous location with a view, like no other, this is the place for you. Just be aware of the other things.

This is a beautiful property right on the Douro river. The rooms are very modern and clean and have balconies that overlook the river and vineyards. The staff is so good and want to help anyway they can. We are finding that helpfulness is a Portuguese trait, they are born that way. There is free parking, free EV Charging, a free tour of the wine process and free treats. The location is great for exploring the Douro valley. I recommend visiting Regua and if you are a good driver take a ride up the the view point of Saint Antonio.

I stayed at Quinta de São Luís (Vine House) and I have to say, this was hands down the highlight of my entire trip to Portugal. I’ve traveled quite a bit, but I had never seen anything this beautiful. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. My room was stunning — incredibly spacious with a huge balcony overlooking the most breathtaking views. The bed was so comfortable, and I loved the thoughtful touches like the complimentary little bottles of wine in the room. The service was exceptional. Ana, in particular, went above and beyond to make my stay special. She personally recommended a nearby vineyard where I had an unforgettable lunch — the food was absolutely delicious. I also had the chance to do a wine tasting tour, which was such a fun and memorable experience. The wines were fantastic! This place truly feels like a 5-star experience in every way. If I could give it more than five stars, I absolutely would. My only regret is that I stayed just one night — I wish I had planned to stay longer during my nine days in Portugal. I’m already dreaming about coming back. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury, stunning scenery, incredible wine, and outstanding service, look no further. Quinta de São Luís is pure magic.

Our stay at The Vine House was memorable and truly special — especially as the first guests to book through Expedia! The accommodations were spotless, peaceful, and well-appointed, with a view that needs to be properly experienced again on a clearer day — we’ll definitely be back for that full balcony moment. It’s important to note that the lodging/tasting experience is managed separately from the food service, which is helpful to know when booking. A small hiccup at dinner was handled with grace and professionalism — special thanks to Marco and Ana for their attentiveness and commitment to making things right. We left feeling very satisfied with their response. The wine tasting experience is an absolute must, with beautiful grounds, knowledgeable staff, and a sense of Douro charm that made the visit unforgettable. This was our first time in the region, and The Vine House set the bar incredibly high. Highly recommend for couples, wine lovers, and anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in one of the most scenic parts of Portugal.

Så smukt sted. Værrelset er stort og flot og udsigten er formidabel. Personalet er meget imødekommende og servicemindet. Rundvisning og lille smagning på Quintaen er fint og gratis. Eneste minus er restauranten, der ikke helt lever op til resten. Rustikke retter og et lille menukort betyder, at vi kun spiste til aften en gang på to overnatninger. Morgenmaden er til gengæld fin. Kæmpe anbefaling samlet set.

Super skønt hotel med den smukkeste udsigt. Fantastiske solnedgange og skønt view fra terrassen på værelset. Helt vildt rolige omgivelser og der var stille både ved poolen og på værelserne. Meget lydisolerede værelser. God mad i restauranten og fin morgenmad. Dog meget lidt udvalg i poolbar, hvor man end ikke kunne få en cola eller en is - men det købte vi inde i byen i stedet. Vi skulle køre meget tidligt og hotellet havde været så søde, at lave morgenmadspakker til os. Stor anbefaling!

Skønt sted midt i Douro Dalen, hvor naturen kommer helt tæt på og skaber en nærmest ubeskrivelig wauw-effekt. Der er restaurant med fokus på lokale råvare samt en lille café. Udvalget er desværre sparsomt, så provianter evt. lidt snacks og læskedrikke inden ankomst, hvis der skal slappes af ved poolen. Morgenmaden er virkelig god og med udsigten på terrassen er den et stort plus. Gode parkeringsmuligheder og et venligt personale. Tjenerne fortæller om maden og området, hvilket giver lidt ekstra til oplevelsen. Poolen kræver ingen særlig beskrivelse - den er bare fantastisk. Nyd udsigten til dalen fra poolen eller terrassen. Der var en lille portvinsmagning og kort rundvisning med i opholdet - et klart +
