Friendly helpful staff ... but hot
This hotel is definitely in need of some renovation. Everything looks old and tired. There seemed to be a bit of a smoky smell in the room. One of the strange things is that there is no control of temperature in the room. When we walked in the room it was super warm. The thermostat in the room said it was 25°C however it was set for about 16°. We asked the staff about it and they said that the temperature is centrally controlled for the whole building . They keep it warm so the pipes don’t freeze they said. They did offer us a fan thankfully. They don’t seem to have fitted sheets for the beds. They just have a top sheet laid over the mattress. Not the best in that when you turn around in the night you find yourself waking up laying directly on the mattress. Due to Covid they were not serving hot breakfast however they kindly offered us a bag breakfast. It included a juice box, a muffin, a yoghurt, a fruit cup and a boiled egg. Also served tea or coffee. I can’t say enough about how kind and helpful the front desk staff were! Very accommodating and friendly! I also appreciated the parking in the covered parking lot.

Was nice place, clean, friendly staff, they provided us with a bagged breakfast and coffee/tea every morning with muffin, fruit, yogurt. Little walk to downtown, Banff isn't very big.

You get what you paid for
The room was old and was not clean. The heated pool was at 18 degrees but they have a dryer vent that blows steam across the pool so at first glanse you think the pool is warm. We requested a pet friendly room and saw a dried pee stain on the carpet. The bathroom was dirty around toileitte. Brown skum. Breakfast was good. In the moutains but are only view was a wall. Nice balcony with no view.

Overall this was a great choice! while the buiding is not brand new, the bed was great and quiet heating (no noisy fans).I will definitely book again here! Also the breakfast was great.

The beds were horrible, the carpet was DISGUSTING, and it was like a sauna in the room and the whole building - took the whole day to air out with the balcony door open. And that was frustrating because my 2 yr old kept going out there which was dangerous for him so I had to keep running out after him.
