The lady at reception was so friendly and helpful!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE... Room was nice and dark with great block out curtains and the most comfortable bed for a good night sleep.. 12th floor views were amazing!

Terrible condition
Expecting Rydges to have same standard everywhere but it was really dissapointing and regretable experience. Room was big for family with 2 double bed but it looked tired, could used renovation and new chairs. Not sure if it due to covid-19, the cleanliness was terrible, mold on chairs, spider web on the light, hair strand on the blanket and surprisingly there was cocroach. Really speechless! There's no housekeeping unless requested, cracks on wall and leaking shower. I've never stayed in a 4 star hotel with this condition, was biased by the review.

Affordable, great location, lovely staff
My partner and I had a nice stay at Rydges. The staff were very personable and helpful, even giving us an upgrade to the top floor with a view of the harbour, the town and the mountains. Lovely sized bath, lovely double beds, lots of space, extra blankets. Also a nice bar with a good Happy Hour and the restaurant service was nice. Location is great, only 10-15 minutes walk to the restaurant district on the esplanade and the ocean is only across the road to walk down. Only regret is not staying longer because their pool looked spacious and spread out.

The stay was average. They gave us the wrong room as we requested a queen and got two doubles instead. We didn’t complain as it was a long day and didn’t want to line up again at reception, which was a long wait. Cleanliness was okay.
