Paid over $720/night for less than 3 star category hotel that claims to be 4.5 stars. The hotel is very poorly managed with extremely rude staff, including the front officer duty managers and disasterous service levels. Their facilities are a joke. All they care about is making money of hotel guests in whatever ways possible. The location of the hotel is quite remote. If you’re not driving, be prepared to take a bus/taxi or walk 1.5 Kms to City Centre with a steep climb. I would strongly discourage picking this property, especially, if you have a family with young kids. This hotel stay was the only bad experience in our 15 day-6 City Amazing Holidays in New Zealand!
Bad. The insisted on putting extra 2 nights on our card or wouldn’t allow us to check in, insisting Hotels.com did not inform them of our cancellation days before and it’s been a nightmare trying to get our money back. Bathroom is like a hospital’s bathroom, old tiles and no shower screens. Refrigerator was making so much noise it had to be turned off. Never happened before.
Nice hotel, lovely rooms but lacking in atmosphere and mediocre food. Dinner somewhat tasteless. Distance from town not a problem if you have a car or like walking.
Loved the hot outdoor jacuzzi. Thoughtfully situated beside the gym and sauna but out of the sun. Location of the hotel was up a steep hill which can be challenging for people who don’t drive. Walk abt 15 mins to town. Value for money.
Thank you to the staff for the nice gesture to upgrade the room when she know that my wife and me are on our honeymoon.
Excellant stay, bus stop at the front door
We got a free upgraded room, (gold member) which was welcoming as many hotels do not offer this straight up) unfortunately the room offered had a high chlorine smell which did not clear. And eventually we managed to get a change of rooms. From there on it was a very pleasant stay with sensational lakeside views. Hotel is a good 15 min walk from central queenstown. Covid meant limited food options at resturant. Staff helpful. Overall very good stay. Pool sauna and spa nice for relaxation after Queenstowns delights.
Receptionist were very helpful and friendly!
No 24 hour room service despite Hotels.com and in-room compendium stating there was. Shower was not clean - very grimey. Bed was very comfy though and our room had a view if you went on the balcony despite it not being a lake view room!
Perfect lil escape from the hustle n bustle of queenstown. Lovely rooms and location.
