This hotel was fantastic. A cute part of town. Breakfast included. Comfy bed. Plus gave information in English in the room. I stayed at a hotel 2x as much the next city over and they were not near as nice.
Breakfast great! And on site steam room, and sauna very nice and relaxing
This hotel is located in Fussen. The only reason people come here is to see Schloss Neuschwanstein, the castle built by King Ludwig II that was supposedly the inspiration for the Disney castle at the Magic Kingdom. Note that Fussen is a few miles from Schloss N. so you need to work out how you're going to get to the castle - I had a rental car but it looked like there were shuttle bus options. The hotel is very centrally located - it's at a busy intersection (as you can see from the photo) but has sound proof windows so noise isn't a problem provide you keep them closed. The hotel is large and has extensive facilities that I didn't check out so can't comment. My room was huge and had good wifi. The breakfast was also good. My only complaint is about the car parking - this wasn't included in the price of the room and wasn't cheap at EUR 14 per day - on top of that, when I tried to leave the parking lot on the last day, my ticket didn't work at the barrier so I had to pay another EUR18 - looked like the car in front of me had the same problem.
The first front desk clerk who helped us store our luggage and give us directions to the castles was very helpful. Once we returned to check in, the second girl we interacted with was very rude. After needing housekeeping to set up additional sleeping space, we had to wait over two hours until 11:30 pm to get an extra blanket. This second girl was very rude and unprofessional, as well as the next day we had found out she had lied to us about the room we had booked (with 3 beds) not even being an option in the hotel.
Its a nice hotel and had the potential of being really great, but the shower didnt drain - we called the front desk, but no one ever came to look at it! The spaces in the parking garage were TINY! The beds were - meh! I did not sleep well on them, but my partner said they were ok! No self-serve coffee available for guests - it would be nice if self-serve coffee was available to guests during the day and evening hours; breakfast was ok
Very nice
The staff was extremely helpful, and they spoke English very well which made our trip much more enjoyable. The staff there gave us excellent advice and helpful tips. The only downside to this hotel was that they didnt have air conditioning in our room. It wasnt hot but leaving the window open was a bit noisy. The hotel was beautiful and perfectly placed for us to walk around Fuessen. The town was beautiful and the scenery breathtaking. It was my favorite stay during our entire trip!
Good breakfast, missing lightbulb in the room, no second set of towels for the second guest, being asked for a breakfast voucher or room number when other guests were not checked inside the dining area.
Very tired interior. There was no information in the room, so everything you were told at check in you had to remember. Don’t know what time the restaurant opened, don’t know whether there was room service etc. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was reasonable however many things had run out on the buffet side - very slow to replenish empty dishes. Very disappointing overall
The hotel is great! The location is central to everything. The breakfast is wonderful... something for everyone and then some! Highly recommend!
