I didn’t like the self check in as it took along time and took the staff relations out of the picture. I think taking out a reception where personal experience is everything is a poor choice. I did manage to book out with a person but by this point your impression is pretty made of the facility. The facilities were nice the room was big everything you need. All the was clean all bar The carpets which were dirty needed attention. The breakfast was massively over priced. Kids costing the same as an adults nearly. I felt this was a huge over payment when there additionally charges for Parking also. Having stayed in 45 hotels this year alone and having had very good experiences in village hotels today. I wouldn’t return for the cost against everything and the simple lack of personal touch, cleanliness ans I’d like us you have a room without a view backing on to the roof it’s dark all the time.

Awaiting refund! Will not return
I paid extra for breakfast (which is not unusual), however we were told we had to pay extra to use the gym & pool. A charge per day! This was awful. However nice faculties. And because I complained, they gave me my parking for free, which again is something I look for when booking anything. So the parking charge was another shock. The check in was self service. However it told me I had £110 to pay, when I’d already paid via hotels.com. I brought this up, and two members of staff assured me I would not be charged for the room as already paid. I had to give my card for a pre authorisation (again, no unusual), but before I even checked on the next day, the bill (bar bill & hotel cost) was taken out my account!!! This has left me short, and a refund can not be produced straight away. I was told there was no manager on site until 12pm (check out 11am). By this time I was so unsatisfied after breakfast, and left early. The breakfast was awful too. Will not stay here again
