Super location in Athlone, received an upgrade to a suite with a fine view too! Comfortable bed and good breakfast. Great idea to reward eco-awareness to not have towels refreshed every day but I never got to use my voucher. The bar/restaurant deal was a bit confusing as I wasn’t aware that everything was all served in what appeared to be the restaurant. A separate bar for drinks and chatting would have been nice. The staff were super-friendly so I probably should have asked! Still loved my stay there and look forward to coming back.

Check in was completed by a friendly Australian young man and a very friendly local lady. Rooms were spacious and clean. Only issue - no fridge, but a minor issue. Great location-short walk to the many local pubs which were fabulous for drinks and food. Short walk across the bridge to the church and castle as well as the oldest pub - Sean's Bar.
