It was nice to send an email to update on the work that was being carried out outside the property. It would have been better if this was mentioned at the time of booking. It was too late for us to receive the email as we were traveling.

Although the room was an ok size (not quite what we were expecting) and relatively clean, they were quite dated. The washrooms were split into two seperate areas - bathing and toilet, neither of which had ventilation. The area surrounding the property did not feel safe. The closest metro stop was about 500m away, however to reach it you had to walk through an area with open drug use and many unsavoury individuals. It was near impossible for us to get a taxi in the mornings, so we ended up relying on uber for transportation. There were no restaurants or cafes in the hotel or the immediate area, the hotel did however have a kiosk where you could order food delivery. Without improvements to the local area, I would highly advise families to avoid.

We were told it was close to things. It was not. Area was dangerous after dark and didn't feel able to enjoy our holiday as we couldn't be out late.

The hotel itself is very good, cannot fault it in any way. Staff are very nice and the rooms are spacious and very well equipped. The only negative point I can make is that the local area does not feel safe. Between the metro/tram and the hotel, there are drug abusers and homeless harassing people for money.

Property was ok. Air con was pretty much non existent so slept with window open for 2 nights listening to the non stop drone of traffic on both motorways and local roads.
