Basic hotel
This is a basic hotel that doesn’t live up to the beautiful photos on the website. There is no ‘resort’, just an excuse to charge extra fees. There is also a security fee charged of $100 per night, which wasn’t disclosed until the day before arrival.

Nice hotel in a quiet NYC neighborhood
Great location in a quiet part of the city near Grand Central Station with easy access to several subway lines. I was delighted to be able to check in early (around 11 am). The first room on the 4th floor was small, dark and had no view, but when I asked for a room with a view the clerk put me in a much larger, brighter room on the 9th floor at no extra charge. It pays to ask! The front desk staff was helpful and cleaning staff cheerful. Everything was clean and fresh. No bar or restaurant in the hotel but plenty of places to choose from in the neighborhood. I was traveling alone and felt absolutely comfortable walking to and from the hotel at night.

Great place but please provide coffee in the lobby
My stay here was very nice. I arrived early and they upgraded me to a King room so I could check in early which was helpful. The only negative comment I have is that there is NO COFFEE in the lobby in the am. Luckily, there was a coffee shop a few doors down but it was a bummer to me, a coffee snob :)
