A really really beautiful and peaceful hotel, truly loved it. Biggest issue was a small mistake made by the host where our room was not ready in time and then we were given the wrong room which was dirty (the host was kind enough to waive our fees for us), but other than that it was perfect. We will be back hopefully in a summer or two when covid is gone and we can try all the wine places around :) super safe town too, very peaceful.
I really enjoyed my stay. A couple of items: 1. The pillows need to be updated from a comfort perspective. 2. Ensure that other guest do not have keys that work for your room. The morning of our stay, a guest from another room entered our room and the door was locked. We were startled, but the guest apologized and promptly exited.
Hotel was nice enough. Our first room was on the 1st floor and there were stains up the wall and on the ceiling. We asked to change rooms, which they did after an hour or waiting (they were busy). The second floor room was in better condition. 2nd floor and above is better, especially for river side. On the 1st floor the people walking by can see into your room unless you close the blinds. The worst part about the stay were the pillows, and it seems all of the rooms had these flat over-used pillows. Made it very uncomfortable when sleeping. The toiletries in the bathroom seemed to be multi-use so I am not sure how many guests use the same pump bottle. Not sure the brand, but the product was lackluster at best. The hotel is aging and needs some money reinvested. Gutters are not working correctly and water is leaking through cracks. The windows are older and hard to open. I did appreciate the EV charging that was FREE! That was a really nice surprise. We were able to charge before it filled up and people parked in those spots all night. I am not sure it is worth the over $300 a night we paid, probably look at other accommodations when we head back in a few months.
My friends and I stayed this last weekend and had the best time. The front desk was super friendly and very responsive. We went on a bike ride and came back and played wine/drunk card games on the back terrace over looking the bike path and river. So much fun for my 40th.
The hotel and room was beautiful. Newly renovated. Everything was perfect and super clean, but the mattress was horrible. Really hurt my back, was tossing and turning all night because of that mattress, otherwise everything else was perfect. Beautiful fireplace inside the room, balcany was so nice to sit outside and have a drink, and bathroom was gorgeous!
The stay was amazing. Peaceful, quiet and clean. The staff was super attentive and helpful. It just made it that much more fun
