The room was very clean and comfy. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and extremely helpful. I needed to leave behind my luggage for a period of time and the front desk helped me store it for as long as I needed.

BRASS KEYS, A GHOST & ME!
Never knew such a gem existed just a stone’s throw outside Boston. It reminded me of my heydays of staying at the Chelsea Pines Inn in New York City with one exception, class. Beacon Inn has a certain level of class that is just slightly understated. Yet sublime. There where some obvious gaffes but nevertheless you felt safe and comfortable. I had the privilege of staying in the Kenmore and the Back Bay. Low on amenities so bring a cup, plate, and eating utensils. Easy access to the Green Line. Tons of green spaces and places to eat nearby. During this COVID-19 era make sure you have a mask handy and try not to feel intimidated by not wearing it in public! Brookline appeared to be compliant to a fault. I have to say, wearing a mask in the lobby of the hotel and as you enter it are mandatory in my book. Wearing one in public as you walk from point A to point B. Seems redundant. Plus it makes me hyperventilate. One note, as a psychic, there is a presence in the Back Bay room. Not malevolent, but ever so watchful and slightly comforting. Check this place out because to it will be my new home away from home. One note of excellent service is how they managed getting me in on my second night. Let’s just say, I arrived at the building before the message regarding my second night of stay had been posted but the energy that surrounds that building guided me to the key’s location without hesitation and on the first try. Brass key rings get returned in the wooden box on the front desk!

Brookline - don’t take a car!
We stay here periodically. This was the first time we drove. They asked if we wanted parking at $30 per night. We said, no! What was not said is there is no overnight parking allowed in Brookline. Actually, there are 63 spaces allotted for payment by the town. We found one on Webster street, about 4 big blocks away, $10.50. It’s not the money, it’s the convenience... we saved money and got our exercise too!

Dont do it
This had to be the worst stay I have ever encountered in all my travels. The place was okay. The service was horrible in that after hours as the guests above our room decided to rearrange furniture for 5 hours straight, fun back and forth across the room and repeatedly drop things on floor while their TV blared throughout the entire building...no one was working to handle the situation. It is absolutely absurd to run a hotel with no personnel working at night to handle problems. We had flown across the country for my daughter to start treatment at Boston Children’s Hospital only to forced awake ALL NIGHT on the eve of her admission. The paper thin walls, lack of service and inconsiderate fellow guests made this a business I will never frequent again. ...and $30 for a parking spot owned by the hotel is just stupid. Not to mention there is zero climate control for the rooms. I would leave and demand a refund 4 hours ago but no one is here to do anything.

Fair 4.0
Though the room was nice and the beds were comfortable, the bedroom we stayed in was on the other side of a door that was blocked off by an armoire. As soon as the staff arrived on Sunday at 8, it was very loud on the other side, and we couldn’t sleep. When we went to get coffee in the morning, we weren’t greeted, even though she looked at us as we came in the room. Also, the coffee pot didn’t have any water, so I asked the girl at the desk and she said “you can get it”. Which I was certainly taken back after that comment.
