Econo Lodge Salina Scenic Route 89 & I-70 - Salina
Poor2.0
The worst!
There were bugs in the room! I killed 2 cockroaches, a giant ant, and a spider. I think it had bed bugs. I am still itchy and have bites on my legs. Also, the walls are very thin so you can hear everything even a few rooms over. There were kids running up and down the hall yelling. I had to call to complain. The phone didn't work so I had to look up the number and call from my cell phone. They advertise a cafe/ coffee shop which I was looking forward to. It has been shut down for a long time. The pool has also been empty for a long time. There is a lot of false advertisement on this site that needs to be changed. The continental breakfast was disgusting! The area was not clean and the waffle batter and juice machine were lumpy and gross. We had to leave to eat at Denny's. The only decent place to eat in the area. I was trying to save money by picking this place but it was still overpriced and I didn't even get a free breakfast! I would never stay there again and I would not stay at any econo lodge just in case it is like this one. I am still itching!

The pool was empty in June! That was the only reason we planned on staying there. The AC unit never shut off or got cool. It was set at 60* all night but it was actually cooler outside than it was in the room. The waffles didn't cook all the way through and had a geletin type layer in the middle. On a positive note the sheets were clean as well as the bathroom! The mattress was very stiff with no give:(
