The location is fantastic, it’s ideal for being close to King’s Cross train station.
Also good bus links to other parts of London.
The building is old, however, looks very tired inside definitely needs some updating. I could smell stale cigarette smoke at the reception.
The first night my room was so hot, I had to sleep with the window open… I couldn’t turn off the heating. I woke up with a really bad headache.
The second night they couldn’t fix the radiator, so they moved me into another room. Which I thought was great customer service.
The staff are really nice here, kind people.
However both rooms I stayed in were narrow, thin walls. I could hear the people next door to me have a conversation and they were so loud late at night.
It was a nice feature having the kettle. But I could not fill it up with water, because the sink was too small…
Also, the second night, the bed didn’t have a headboard so it was basically a mattress against the wall (photo attached).
The mattress was okay, but the pillow seemed a bit tired and thin.
Ok for a base. A little expensive for the value I got.
