Really cool little hotel with lots of charm and history. The front desk clerk, Aaron, was super nice and helpful and made me feel really welcome. He also gave me a great recommendation for Meridian restaurant, which is right next door and a fantastic place to eat. Only issue I had was the room was pretty dark and the overhead light didn’t work. The blinds were kind of old and one wouldn’t open. The bathroom was nice and clean but it could use some updating. Overall a great stay, though, and I’d definitely choose this hotel again. Also a plus: it’s in a very cool, historical district that’s great to take a walk in.

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very hospitable, and the wine/cheese, milk/cookies were nice added touches. If not for the rain, could have walked to any number of nearby restaurants. Ended up going to Sweet Potatoes, which seemed like a quintessential WS culinary experience. Drove to WF campus in 10 min after hot breakfast buffet.

It was an extremely cold night, and we never figured out how to cut the heat up. I guess we should have asked. I had packed extra blankets, so we were fine in the bed, but the room was really uncomfortable temp-wise. Amazing place, though, and the cookies and milk were a nice touch. I would give this a five across the board except for the room temp, and it pains me to say something about it.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The room we were first assigned didn't quite match our needs. The staff immediately found us another, more suitable room. It was gorgeous. We loved the old charm of the hotel, the location, and the hospitality.

Hotel was unique, however, rooms are in need of updating. We didn’t stay in the main building as we were told our king suite was not available there. I felt somewhat insecure as the exterior doors did not have any security measures after hours; anybody could have walked in. Since the hotel is a converted cotton factory the noise radiated through the ceiling, as the construction is from the 1800’s.

We work in the hospitality industry and desperately needed a break from everyday "everydayness". When I made the reservation, I made some special requests for our Valentine get away. The staff were very accommodating and gracious and blessed us with a lovely and spacious suite that was very comfortable and quiet and had a deep and delightful bathtub. (Bubble bath time!) The bed was super comfortable (so much so that we slept nearly 11 hours each day). Yes, we were totally worn out when we got there but left refreshed. The property has a really unique charecter and is within walking distance to the equally unique village of Old Salem. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the afternoon wine and cheese offering was nice and a good way to connect with the other guests. I'm sure the milk and cookies were wonderful too but we were asleep by then. We definitely recommend this property. The only thing we didn't like was the blinds on the windows don't provide adequate privacy as you can see into the rooms from the outside.I mentioned this to the manager as we left so hopefully this little issue will be rectified.

I booked this amazing hotel for my employee and she said it was the best hotel she’s stayed at and so unique. I want to stay here and def plan on it next trip to Winston Salem. As a former cotton mill, the details and coziness were excellent!

The Brookstown Inn is fantastic! We have stayed twice now and will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Winston-Salem! Easy to park and such an easy walk into the downtown area where there are plenty of restaurants and breweries to enjoy.
