The Royal Highland Hotel - Inverness
The customer service at the hotel was overall good, except for in the restaurant. Only ate there on the first night and all the diners were herded into one section of the room. The bedroom was far smaller than anticipated. I appreciate that maintenance in a building that old is difficult but felt there was more could be done; lots of paintwork chipped, rotten window frames, mouldy ceilings in the bathroom. The whole facility would benefit from a complete refurbishment.

Great Stay
Very nice family get together. All the staff were at tentative. The dinner and breakfast were very good. We travelled with our two dogs with out any problems. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Our only criticism would be that some basic maintenance is required to keep the place fresh looking. We stayed in room 307 and the en-suite with cracked floor tiles and the window is rather rotten.

Nearly Perfect
Fabulous 3 night stay at The Highland . Maybe 10 steps from the train station it is in a superb location . The reception is very impressive with efficent and friendly staff. We had a room on the 3rd floor at the back , overlooking the station , despite this it was very quiet . The room was very clean with a huge tv , all the facillities you need and very comfortable . Our only complaint about the roim was the size of the shower . It was tiny , I honestly did not know they made them that small. Add the fact there was nowhere to put the toiletries provided and it made showering a bit of a faff ! Breakfast is good and hell yourself , but PLEASE provide teaspoons for hot drinks instead of those horrible little sticks , you are a classy hotel not a takeaway coffee shop. Overall this is a brilliant hotel with wonderful staff and atmosphere .
