Good hotel but not all rooms
I was absolutely happy with the hotel itself. Friendly staff, easy check in and check out, the room was clean and nice. One thing which disappointed me, our room #102 was located in front of the elevator on the first floor. And in the morning started from 6 am there were lots of sounds, which woke us up every 10-15 minutes cause people were walking and talking, kids playing and screaming etc. I booked a pet-friendly room, and I assume all pet-friendly rooms are located on the first floor. But staff could offer a different room on the other side, the hotel wasn’t super crowded. Recommended but don’t take rooms beside the elevator, they are super noisy.

Just fine
Small room, not super comfy but ok. The room was really hot so we could hardly find sleep. Food was ok and included in the price which is a good plus though. A 9,45$ charge was applied to my credit card to my surprise when I checked out, I had to call the hotel to learn that it was the cost for parking. Just weird that they didn’t mention the parking wasn’t free before showing up or even when I checked in at the hotel. I would not return to this hotel. There are nicer ones in the area.

Recommending to my friends
Friendly staff, cool courtyard / hot tub/fire pit area. They have a bar in the hotel that serves drinks. The breakfast is great. Funny enough, the only photo I have is of the parkade and the breakfast but the photos on the website are accurate. When I recommend to friends they all say they agree it is so cool. Oh! And in the summer they have cruisers but this week they had a bunch of new fat bikes!

Great value for money and very clean
Had never stayed in a Canalta hotel and the front desk manager was very friendly and very helpful. Given Covid I stayed in and cooked a meal and found the kitchen great for a 1 night stay. Thanks

Nice room
Overall the stay went well, it was quiet and the room was nice and the bed was comfy. However it was pretty cold in the room even when we adjusted the heat. I also didn’t really like paying for parking, then once you get in The parkade seeing how some people parked almost taking up 2 spots was annoying because it’s pretty limited down there and oddly shaped. We also had to sign a waiver in order to have a pet friendly room which I’ve never had to do before. There was a breakfast buffet included with our room but we were afraid to go because we weren’t supposed to leave our dog alone in the room.

Good 6.0
The staff very accommodating and the outdoor amenities were lovely. The continental buffet breakfast is now being served behind plexi glass, thus offering a very safe environment. They also offered reservations for hot tubs so you get it all to your self for thirty minutes which we also really appreciated and enjoyed!

Standard hotel room. Very charming. The overall ambience was very warm and it felt like you were in the mountains. The one issue that bothered me was the hot tub system. You are told to call at 8am to book a time slot for that day. I called at 8:12am and it was already fully booked from 3:30-11:00pm. How is that possible!!! I was put on the waitlist. They took my cellphone #. That day we were back in our room at 6:30pm. At around 9:30pm we were told that they tried to call us in our room for a time slot that was available. We didn’t get a call at all! That was a lie. So they booked us for 11:30am the next day!!??? But I thought you couldn’t book a time slot until the next day at 8:00am!!! So in my opinion all of it was poorly managed and not followed accordingly. Even though there is a rise of covid in Banff the hotel

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The complementary toiletries and breakfast were much better than expected. Only downfall was arriving and not knowing ahead of time to book the hot tub, as it was already completely booked.

Noisy. The breakfast was mediocre and not hot. Tables were not cleaned or whipped down after being used. Too many dogs all over the hotel including the eating area and in the room next to us. They should keep all the dogs in the same wing or on one floor. If we knew they were dog friendly we would not have stayed here.
