Visit aborted
Hotel is unmanned and does not appear to have security checks. No face to face personnel to check on room or building issues. Despite boasting 24/7 contact available I had issues reporting faults. On 1st evening of a 2 night stay my ensuite toilet and shower stopped functioning due to no cold water supply. I was not able to achieve contact until 9.30am. They did not see this as an emergency and told me an engineer would not be visiting until after my booking was over. They could not guarantee anither room with facilities so I was forced to cut short my visit by 24 hours. They have refused a full refund after4 days of emailing them. Appalling customer care. I would not recommend this hotel. They considered it no more than a slight inconvenience that a paying guest should have no access to a toilet or shower.

if you arrive after 6pm there is no reception so you have to deal with an Indian call centre. Despite phoning and asking if i could pay at the property you get constant emails requesting payment and three phone calls on the day asking your arrival time. If you are long distance walking and dependant on public transport in rural areas its impossible to give an accurate answer. a cold breakfast is left on a tray outside your room each day. The rooms are warm, clean, spacious and comfortable. Beds exceptionally comfortable Showers warm and powerful, esp important after a days walking. There is a large car park adjacent to the hotel ( payment required) I'm not a fan of hotels with limited reception hours but with staff shortages and increased costs its probably the way forward for many rural hotels. In fairness it is all explained in the small print when you book.

No way in...
After rushing to the hotel to get there before the desk closed, we arrived to find the desk had already closed (!) Once we had the key (from a box on the wall), we couldn't open the front door and the phone number we called went to someone who didn't work at the hotel who (un)helpfully informed us that there was no one working at the hotel. The only reason we didn't have to sleep in the car outside was another guest let us in.

Truly Awful Accommodation
Terrible accommodation. Hottest couple of days ever in Wales and no provision was made for the comfort of guests. No fan and no air flow at all. Worst nights sleep in my life. No staff present for the 4 days I stopped the bins were not emptied once and forget about towels and bedding being changed. Remember this was the hottest days ever in Wales and no change of bins or bedding. I can usually sleep on a floor and wouldn’t complain but this place is just truly terrible. Only bright point is the local pub - The Banc - great friendly place with very good food, this place managed to get me through my stay. The place needs a complete overall as they are robbing people by charging even a £1 a night never mind the £105 per night I paid !!!! I have never given a bad review until now.

Self service key collection - took several attempts to get through to call centre for key code but once in, room was clean and breakfast goody bag left as ordered. Town centre location so a little noisy on a Saturday night.
