Not quite a bed and breakfast...
As a last minute, impromptu trip to Yosemite, my wife and I decided to spend the night in Mammoth. Without much (really any) advance planning, we looked for a hotel the very day we booked one. As such, there weren't many accommodations to choose from, but a room at the Cinnamon Bear Inn was available. As many reviews indicate, the hotel staff persons are very friendly. They offer a wine and cheese happy hour at 5pm, which is a nice way to befriend other guests. I encourage the Cinnamon Bear Inn to continue this nice complementary service. We did not stay for breakfast, but we are told that the omelets are quite good. Our biggest complaint is that our room was VERY small - it basically provided enough fit for a full size bed. This is not "quaint" or "charming," but uncomfortable and claustrophobic. I would encourage the owners to consider a renovation in the future to expand some of the rooms. Overall - service was friendly, but room leaves much to be desired.

This hotel was super cute! Close to the mountain...and even has a jacuzzi. It's close to everything in town also, i will definitely be booking a room here again.

Great ski getaway!
Stayed at the Cinnamon Bear Inn with my daughter for a ski-week. First time in Mammoth in Winter. Nice little hotel! Staff is friendly, room was quaint, clean and quiet. All we ask for really is a nice place to sleep and get ready in the morning. We're not there all day, or most of the evening, so beyond that we're really not looking for much. The breakfast each morning was very good; it was a particular dish cooked fresh each day. It was plentiful with coffee and juice, served in a nice living room setting with tables to relax at. There was also a happy hour each evening. Parking was easy, despite the huge snowfall. The heater in the room was a gas-fired stove in the room, set with a thermostat on the wall. Never seen one quite like it, but it was nice! Very hot, so watch out with the kiddos. We very much enjoyed our stay and found great value at the Cinnamon Bear. We would recommend it.
