Pay Extra...Stay Elsewhere!
The common areas are well maintained. The surprise is when you enter the room. We had a king room and it was disgusting. There was a lot of mold in the washroom, the shower curtain rod was rusted, the toilet was dirty, there was no TV in the room, the wifi internet was very slow, and the overall condition of the room was poor at best. There was unfortunately no pride with the management of this lodge, considering it is operated by young people from Australia.

Old and rundown. No elevator. No TV's . One nightstand for one side of the bed only. Had an old funky smell. Had to put my reading material on the floor. Stayed at Lake Louise Inn on the way back, way, way, better. Wished I had stayed there on the way to our destination instead.

No heat in the room. No hot tub running. No TV. Dining room staff accommodating and friendly. Roof leaking

Great location and great value but couldn't sleep due to noise from other guests loudly laughing and talking while leaving their room doors wide open, and vavuuming at 1am in the room next door. I understood why they have ear plugs for their guests and I will definitely ask for one if I stay there again. Also the bathroom smelled urine quite strongly.

as long as one is aware that it's a rustic hotel with few amenities and no upkeep in reno's. still great for $ we paid

Maybe I had higher hope for the property because of where it is, the price and the outer fancy rustic theme... I felt disappointed. Our room was quite small, can’t find any outlet to charge our phone except in the washroom, window cannot open, washroom door cannot close properly... called front desk and they said they will fix it after we check out. I guess the price you pay is mainly for the location. Another plus side is that they have very nice shower and body soaps.

Restaurant is great but breakfast sorely overpriced. Paid as much for breakfast as dinner! Yet breakfast was hardly as noteworthy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Common areas need a little tlc

stay with food restriction
First time we were faced with no food to bring into the motel room . As we have many food restriction we did not feel comfortable to bring our healthy food to our room. We enjoyed to be close to the lake as we could walk there and play the Alphorn.

The lodge has its rustic original feel to it. Don’t expect fancy, but you can expect the warmth of the past. Take the time to view the pictures on the walls! You will have an adventure and understanding of what the beauty of Lake Louise looked like in the 1930s and onwards. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money for a quick getaway. We had a “ double bed” Because of Covid-19 the rooms are basic. But they do offer a request sheet when you check in. I think the walls in the bathroom could have been cleaned better and when we had to move our bed to find a outlet to plug our phones in, 1) the floor needed vacuuming and 2) the outlet had no cover so the unit was loose. We felt this is a possible hazard, We did find the bed great to sleep on and enough hot water in the shower. I felt we got very good value for our price. Especially for the opportunity to be there in the fall! We will come back again ☺️
