Very clean, efficient check-in and check-out, good Wi-Fi connection in room and throughout the hotel, very good breakfast. Nice location near a train station featuring Roman ruins (not the main station for Mainz, but that was fine) and many interesting sites and dining options within easy walking distance, including a free museum across the street. The room is small with very basic amenities, but this is a budget hotel, and it was totally fine for one person for 3 nights. My only complaint was the twin bed I had in my room was VERY firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. It was also really small -- I'm a smaller person so that was fine, but it might be too small for a tall or large person.

Cool, funky room in a great location
I was only at the Ibis for one night, but the staff was very accommodating, including letting me have a late checkout since I was waiting for my husband and his flight into Germany was delayed. The room was comfortable and quiet and so close to the train station. It was so convenient to get around the city!

Really great location for exploring Mainz. Nice size room and well appointed. Nice big car parking spaces and very secure car park. Very limited vegan/ vege options at breakfast, although there was vegan butter. staff were helpful but not overly friendly
