Hotel needs refresh
Formerly have stayed at this hotel especially because of its central location. However many changes and not as good. Housekeeping superb. Restaurant big disappointment with a poor new menu. Starting to be dated. Had an alarming situation occur and was not dealt with appropriately by the manager. They made a serious mistake and not handled properly and it took a visit to the manager the next day who barely apologized for the serious mistake. No amends were made whatsoever by the actions of the actual manager.

Yearly sisters of the traveling charms trip
The Academy is in a prime location. The hotel itself is nice, has a bar lounge and restaurant which we didnt use. The hotel can use a little upgrade on amenties like have ice machine available for guests instead of having to go to the bar for a cup of ice, maybe microwave available in the rooms. The bathroom are small and instead of a full shower curtain has half a glass and floor gets wet. Beds are comfortable. Overall The Academy Plaza was a great fit for my sisters and I and would stay here again.
