6/10 Good

I chose this hotel bc of the pool and breakfast. I checked in late so I brought food for supper. I had to run 10 miles in the morning and was counting on the continental breakfast and the pool afterwards. However both had been cancelled due to Covid. The website did not indicate this. There was only a small sign at the desk about the breakfast. I would understand if that was a consistent rule but the downtown Minneapolis hotel I stayed in the following night served breakfast. Better communication is necessary. 10 miles on an empty stomach! 😡

Do not recommend.
We had to leave the hotel at 2 am and find a new place. There was a condom wrapper in the bed, beds were dirty, and smaller than advertised. TV didn’t work, pool was closed, breakfast was not available. When the staff tried to find us a new room that room was not clean either. Just an all around terrible experience. They did give us our money back, that was the good part.

The place smelt really really bad there was bags of garbage everywhere throughout the building. The air conditioner barely kept the room cool and I was worried about the TV staying on too long because of the heat that was coming off of it.

Please do not stay here. My friend and I went to a concert in Minneapolis and booked this place for one night. We stayed maybe an hour and ended up checking out and just driving home. Honestly we probably shouldn't have checked in to begin with. When we got into the parking lot it was completely full. We drove all the way to the back where a couple groups of men stood around drinking by their vehicles and they watched us the entire time we parked, got out with our stuff, and walked into the building. The hotel was dirty, did not look quite like the pictures. Pool and breakfast are not actually offered, but I wouldn't have wanted either due to how run down and dirty the place was. Found roaches in our room. We were also given a paper to stick in our car stating that the hotel is not responsible for any theft or vandalism that may happen to our car. We checked out after finding the roaches. Got back out to our car which we had to park in a very tight space because it was the only spot available. There was a man outside who walked past us and as my friend was trying to squeeze into her side of the car he circled back and started walking towards her, so she got scared and ran to my side and got in from there. She just had a sinking feeling in her stomach. We did not know at the time that this is a very dangerous area. Please do not stay here or ever recommend this place to anyone. It is disgusting and unsafe.

You get what you pay for
The desk staff were very friendly. The hotel had a shabby feel to it. The room was clean, but it didn't look like the windows on the outside of hotel had been cleaned in a while. The pool was "closed" and breakfast not provided, both supposedly due to COVID. At this point in the pandemic, when other hotels have opened up breakfast and you can eat in any restaurant, anywhere, I feel that this was an excuse to avoid having to deal with the pool or serving customers breakfast. Don't advertise that these services are available if you have no intention of offering them. Security cameras had been added to the hallway, but with all of the wires and lines on the outside of the wall. I was getting vibes that the area might not be safe, but I don't know that for sure.

The carpet was nasty and sticky. The air was damp. The pool was closed from the health department. There was no breakfast as promised on the website. There were signs in the lobby stating that if my car was damaged, they were not responsible for it. It was a horrible experience

This place is a dump. But the people are friendly
When I got to my room I noticed there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. None. I was also only given 2 towels, no hand towels. Ok, not a big deal. I went to take a shower and there was a dirty wash cloth still on the tub! The next day when I came in I noticed my towel and the dirty wash cloth were gone, but nothing was replaced and the bed was not made. I didn't expect them to even come into my room since I was only there 2 nights but if you come in and take out dirty stuff shouldn't you replace it? And shouldn't you also empty the garbage and make the bed?
