This place has really gone downhill

Expensive stay and no housekeeping! "For your safety" was the sad excuse for not sending in the housekeeper every day (we stayed for 3 nights). Really? And even a request to have someone come in and vacuum (while we were out hiking) was stonewalled. My "safety" means saving on labor costs while charging big rates. Won't stay here again.

    Egregious price gouging.

WAY overpriced. You pay $350/night for a small, just adequate room with no amenities at all, then they charge you $50/night for a “resort fee” (though you pay to use the boats, and as far as I could tell the “resort” was just a tiny sad indoor pool), AND $8/Day for slow Internet. Never again.

    Beauty had a price.

Beautiful location on the lake. Historic hotel with nice architecture. Amenities lacking. Very poor internet and phone service. Trouble accepting Chase bank cards. Short staffed and overpriced.

After anticipati for 10 years a big disappointment

Property is in an incredible setting but lodge room was very worn dingy and barely big enough for two. Everything from check in to ordering a take away meal had long lines. Not what you would expect from a very expensive hotel.

Love this place. Been there many times in the last 30 years. Love the rain forest, hiking, pool , and sauna. Not the cheapest place but certainly beautiful. Drawback is internet should be free.

Despite 2 employees quitting and they not opening the dining room, the take out dinner was excellent on the patio overlooking the lake. Loved it!
