Very good 8.0
the location of the hotel is great close to Grafton Street. There were a few things that didn't make it perfect. I had a king size bed room, but in fact it is 2 twin beds pushed together, this means that it is rather uncomfortable . The other issues I had is that the electrical outlets near the bed are different then the normal UK ones. They are round and the plugs are a different type of then the adapter I have and most UK outlets are more straight. I have a CPAP machine and need to plug it in near the bed. I had to plug it in on the desk which mean that it didn't quite go all the way to where I should sleep at the top of the bed so I had to sleep part way down the bed, which was rather uncomfortable. There is also a strange smell in the hallway by the elevator. Pros- the bathroom is a good size, good shower pressure and lots of hot water.

Great hotel in the heart of Dublin.
Taking advantage of a long layover to spend a day in Dublin, we were looking for a nice hotel in the heart of the city. It was simple and relatively cheap (7€ one-way or 12€ round-trip) to take the 757 Air Link bus from the airport to a block from the hotel - just a short walk to the other side of Steven’s Green. When we arrived, Daniel was assisting other guests and we heard that the hotel was completely booked for the night. Fortunately, we had reservations through, so we weren’t worried. When we got in our room, the view was to a wall across the way. We immediately called the front desk explaining that the room was not acceptable. Even though the hotel was “full”, they immediately found us another room with an open view. The room was beautiful - recently remodeled - and quite spacious. This type of service was repeated throughout our visit - quick resolution of any issues (which were few), great suggestions for local dining options and friendly conversations. Daniel and Colm were wonderful hosts and made our stay quite enjoyable - along with the beautiful city of Dublin.

Fair 4.0
Horrible hotel
Our booking stated free bottle of wine. We mentioned it on checking and I asked for white wine in a bucket of ice. The wine never arrived. We asked another night. The wine never arrived. We gave up. Ireland isn’t really known for its wine. On our first day,we went to our room and it was so hot. We tried to turn it down and called the front desk who said they would check it. When we got back to the hotel, the room was still so hot, we finally managed to open a window and turn the heat off. EVERY a single day, housekeeping closed the window and turned the heat back on so we came backtrack stifling hot room. So every night we had to go through the same routine of trying to turn the heat off and open the window. Housekeeping was very measly about towels. One tiny one and one medium. Only one set in the bathroom but we found another set ina drawer. Jeez!!! there were two people checked into the room!! There was no outdoor smoking area. I was told Togo out on the street!! No ashtrays so people had to butt their cigarettes in the planters or on the street. What a mess. And how stupid of the hotel where they would rather clean up cigarette butts than provide an ashtray. Hotel looks nice on the outside but Theroom was very small. It had a king size bed which was nice but took up a lot of the very small room. The hotel was far from the action. A few coffee shops about 1km away but a long walk to a restaurant or bar. I don’t recommend for travellers who want to experience Dublin.
