The central location of the Hilton Garden Inn is ideal for exploring Kauai. The hotel was clean and the staff was wonderful. Mamahunes restaurant/bar has a good menu & a great place to relax & enjoy a cocktail.

Various problems
Door to room was very difficult to close, a petite woman couldn’t have closed it totally. I had to put my shoulder in to it. The screen door’s lock was corroded shut. I called front desk requesting maintenance that never came. On the third day, I used brute force to pull it open. Parking was impossible to find later in the day. “Free” coffee in lobby was nice until I got the bill for the resort fee at check out. Toilet ran on occasion. Front desk staff were friendly.

Horrible and over priced!
The hotel was in bad condition. The jacuzzi did not work during our entire stay. The staff was not helpful. Booked a room with 2 queens and got 1 king. They would not change. Charged $35 resort fee for what??? This was not a Resort that provided none of the amenities!

The property was lovely. Unfortunately our air conditioner didn’t work and the unit had to be replaced at 10 pm. It would have been nice if we had been offered free breakfast the next day or some kind of discount for the inconvenience. I will say however the maintenance man who came to change it was very nice and apologetic. I wish the front desk had been more responsive to this situation.

Very dissatisfied
This Hilton is very musty, hot and outdated. The room smells so old and musty you can hardly breathe at night. It feels so sticky and muggy. Our door lock did not work on our door, the bathroom door wouldn’t close and their were little bugs all in our bathroom. For $300 a night this place was extremely dissatisfying. The resort itself is ok. The pools are very small and the corridors are very old and musty as well.
