Good hotel in a great location. The only thing that gives the rating a 4 instead of a 5 is that the hotel workers were on strike at the time of our visit. This meant the restaurants were closed as well as some amenities. The hotel was being run by management and they were doing a great job, we were just a little uncomfortable crossing the picket line every day of our stay but by the time we found out about the strike, it was too late to change our accommodation plans. We would probably stay here again if we returned to Montreal.

We usually stay here because of the convenience to the jazz festival. Unfortunately, this time when we arrived, hotel staff were on strike and housekeeping services were not available. You had to call to have the trash removed from your room and replacement towels had to be picked up at the front desk. Lack of staff also meant the restaurant was closed and there was limited access to lounge and deck areas. Staff on duty tried to accommodate guests as much as possible, but were overworked. Despite the lack of services, we were still charged full rate. They should at least have offered free parking to acknowledge the loss of amenities that should have been included, particularly since we paid for housekeeping that never was. We paid for staff that were not on payroll. If the hotel is experimenting with customer satisfaction at the idea of self service housekeeping, I do not fancy doing housework while I'm supposed to be on vacation. Next time, we will make sure we stay at a fully-staffed hotel.

Location of the hotel is very good, the hotel is clean and rooms are bigger size, also there are very good restaurants in the hotel and within the building, the only issue is the paid underground parking , the hotel do not have the option to let guests take out the car without paying for every in/out trip from the underground parking, I wish the hotel guests could pay a flat parking fee per day and being able to take out car multiple times, other then this the hotel is very good.

      In downtown so what?

So confusing to get to the hotel; no heads up; took us about an hour going around the hotel due to road closures and detours. It was warm even if we already lowered the room temperature to 65 degrees F. Doesn’t seem it works. Pillow and sheets look clean but with the room being warm, it’s hard to sleep.

Call ahead to ask how happy their employees are …

So… they was a strike by employees. It started before we arrived. If they told us we would not have stayed. No services (towels, cleanings, room service etc). Note said complementary coffee and pantries to offset the lack of food options…not once did they have any! (Claimed order didn’t arrive all 4 days I was there). Probably the worst stay I’ve had at a hotel

      1) Vindictive hotel staff - I was told I was getting the best suite, however, the reception put me on the side of a massive construction project 2) Even though the hotel accepts bookings with breakfast and advertises room service, there is no room service because hotel and conference staff are on strike 3) because of the strike the rooms aren't being cleaned and you have to call down to reception to request clean towels.
