Excellent Service
Although the breakfast and dinner buffet were 6/10 at best, the service provided by the staffs were quite impressive. I had some memorable moments at Jamboree (excellent service by Mac) as well but they were a bit overwhelmed by the amount of patrons. The live band was freaking incredible (the kind where I didn’t want to leave). In particular, Haziq from the breakfast buffet, and Isahak and Amalina from the weekend dinner buffet were really amazing. I was genuinely surprised by the service they’ve provided, considering they are priced lower than some major hotel brands. Put it this way, the service I received at Jendela was more hospitable than what I’ve experienced at the Ritz-Carlton KL. The staffs at the swimming pool were very friendly as well. However, the thing that surprised me the most is the warmth of the housekeeping team (especially Nayeem). He is very attentive and remembers tiny yet important details. Very very friendly, helpful, and warm-hearted. I’ve stayed at several Ritz, W, FS, and Sofitel properties but I’ve never had anything memorable from their housekeeping department. Nayeem really made a difference during my stay at Angsana. At this point, I would be disappointed if the management does not commend Nayeem after reading this review.

Ok for a short staycation
Room was a bit worn despite the hotel being very modern overall. Cleanliness could have been better (small blood stains on sheets missed) and under the bed was not cleaned. Breakfast was not well planned with staff unable to keep up with demand. Despite all this I do consider it good value.

A Surprise Gem
My 3 nights stay was a fantastic experience. Booked the hotel to experience Penang's natural beauty. This is definitely not for the thrill seeker traveler. It's perfect for those who are looking for a relaxing getaway. You get the privacy you need since it's at the opposite end of the island, over the hills, and close to Penang National Park's entrance. The hotel is tucked in a corner of the sleepy fishing town with its own clean beach. Getting food may be challenging (there's none directly outside the hotel), but it's worth walking down to the town's center (1km walk or you can Grab). Otherwise, hail a car through Grab down to Batu Ferringhi for food (3.3km). The service staffs were helpful and sincere. The breakfast buffet was extensive. Two swimming pools to choose from - you will be spoilt for choice. There are a lot of lounging places. Room is fully equipped and each opens up to stunning views of the ocean. Impressed by it's e-housekeeping service - you can request for a towel easily on its digital platform and there's no need to download a special app for this. The only downside is that the hotel's Kerongsong wing (the one with the most units) is next to a dog pound. You'll hear the dogs barking all day and night if you're out in the corridor. But don't worry, you'll hear nothing once you're in your room. I'll definitely make a return trip.
