10/10 Exceptional

Excellent Customer Care
After being let down the previous day by a holiday park, it was like a breath of fresh air to be accommodated so professionally by the staff. They were warm and welcoming, and even managed to accomodate our (Large) dog even though I'd forgotten to declare her on the booking. We will definitely be looking to stay at the Poole Key Hotel again. *****

2/10 Poor

Hotel from HELL!
Old, dated, with no air conditioning or fan available. Lift was out of service, room was like an oven, with the windows only openable to a certain extent. Room on the quay side - busy all night long- either you suffocate in the oven or have some air but with loud street noises. Bed was small- suitable for 1 rather than 2. Extra bed very soft. Bathtub was not cleaned- you can still see soap scum marks. Tried calling several times using the room phone to reception, maintenance, room service, housekeeping and not a single response. Very limited choice at breakfast- no yogurt or sparkling water. Allergen signs only available for 5 food items. The rest- you have to ask and when asked- it is as if they don't care that someone can have an anaphylaxis reaction and die. If you wanted to watch some cable channels on TV- this does not exist for this hotel! Only positive side is the location.

Needs to be refurbished
The pictures advertised must have been taken when the hotel was new. The place is in a desperate need for a refurbishment. Our aircon was too noisy to use and we couldn’t adjust the temperature on the shower. It was set to very hot and was dangerously close to burning. We mentioned this to reception in the morning and not so much as an apology. I have emailed the hotel since staying in the hope they may have sent an apology but not even received a response. Very disappointed with our stay, really not worth the money. The hotel is in a fantastic spot but is very run down, stained carpets, peeling paint and the breakfast wasn’t the best. Such a shame.

8/10 Very good

Had a fab time in Poole. The quay was full of surprises from motorbike and car events, a firework night, live bands on the street, great restaurants amd bars around. The bus servises are fantastic..take you to bournemouth, sandbanks beaches at £2 a ride.. we went on boat trips around the Jurassic coast, beautiful views. The Poole Quay hotel was in the heart of all this, great location. In need of some TLC and updating, otherwise alovely stay. Friendly helpful stsff. Lovely and plentiful breakfast. Would def return.
