Good hotel in TJ with big fluffy bed. Center of TJ

Stayed here 4 nights. Great area right next to the best restaurants in TJ and in the middle of the night life. The bed was perfect - big and fluffy with lots of pillows. I would for sure stay here again.

Great and Not So Great . . Both

I like to try new places and this looked intriguing. I booked for 3 nights since I also had work to do while enjoying TJ. But, I only stayed for 1. BUT, if stairs are a problem, one has to walk up a flight with beautiful woodwork to get to the lobby. Once there, the staff was very helpful and professional, as was the housekeeping department. I can nothing but credit them all. [Elevators from there on.] Although they did the most creative things that could be done with their limitations, the hotel was built with zero rooms with windows. My own room was an after thought. It must have been a large closet. I had one electric plug, at the sink. No room had a window. My own room was too small for either a desk or even a chair. There was so little lighting . . . Good Points . . The staff was great . . The housekeeping was great . . The desk staff were great . . The creativity with what they had to work with was great . . Bad Points . . I had booked for 3 nights and, even being "budget conscious" (cheap), went to another hotel. I couldn't stay in a dark hole during the day when I was on line or working. If I had been out all day and evening and only needed a beautiful, clean place for the night, right in the middle of town, I would definitely stay here.

Hotel is very secure. Need to ring a bell before being let inside or slide your room key to open the front door. It’s conveniently located in downtown TJ with quick access to dining and bars (walking or take a taxi). I don’t like how you have to leave a room key inside your room to activate the lights and the AC unit. Also, there’s no window/balcony for fresh air and there’s no central AC in the hallways, so it feels humid until you get inside your room. In addition, the parking is secure but across the street so you have to tow your luggage walking. There’s really not area to pull up in your car to u load. The hotel validates the parking though (just have to remember to bring in the parking ticket that prints out when entering the parking garage). Overall though, it’s very clean and love the decorations. Staff are very courteous and we were able to check-in early (around 10a) with an additional 200 peso charge (roughy $10). Not bad for early check-in!
