LOVED this resort! The grounds are so picturesque with postcard-worthy views at every turn. The bed was so incredibly comfortable it was hard to climb out of every morning.

    Fabulously fun!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Meridien. The location with a view to the mountain was excellent as well as all the public spaces that faced out to Mt. Otemanu. Food was quite good but expensive, which is to be expected on a tropical island which needs to transport virtually everything from far away. Our overwater bungalow looked out to their loading dock, which was disappointing, but we learned to just look in the other direction. The overall vibe was great! A nice mix of Americans as well as an international crowd...and a variety of ages though they tended to be younger as it’s a honeymoon destination. Our snorkeling expedition was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend as you get a great overview of the island. We went over to the St Regis one night or dinner and though it was definitely more upscale, we preferred the vibe and views from the Meridien. Highly recommend!

    Great Honeymoon Destination
We paid for the boat transfer from the airport and it was totally worth it; someone took our bags, boat was comfortable, didn't have to deal with anything. Laetitia was very helpful during check-in and gave a nice tour of the resort. She remembered us by name during the rest of our stay and made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions. We did the all-inclusive package, which included meals & snacks/drinks on the day of arrival and departure. Breakfast buffet had many options, including made to order crepes and an egg station. Mavera T was our waitress at breakfast and always got us the best seat and really nice fruit smoothie. She was also very friendly and greeted us by name every morning. Two lunch options, which were both very good. Two dinner options, also very good. Loved the Mahi Mahi with coconut rice. We stayed in an overwater bungalow. There is not much coral around the hut, so you won't see many fish, but the swimming was wonderful. FYI, the water is deep by the huts. I'm almost 6 feet and couldn't touch. Definitely take the opportunity to swim with the turtles, it was awesome. If you bring a floaty, it was easy to get it inflated at the beach/pool hut. Good wifi everywhere. We had a lot lot of flies in the room one night. The guest service representative who came first was rude. The housekeeping staff that came later were absolute amazing and thorough and we didn't have a bug problem after that.

    Great value with lovely staff!
Great value with lovely staff. Foods and drinks are a bit pricey, but that's expected. The overwater bungalows are very nice. We loved the glass floor. Though these isn't much marine life to see. The resort has an enclosed inner lagoon (it's connected with the outer lagoon) where there is more fish.

What a stay! There is nothing we would change to Le Méridien in Bora Bora, except that we wish we could have stayed there longer. We definitely hope to get the chance to go back some day. Room: We had an overwater bungalow, which we really liked. It was beautiful looking, perfectly clean and had amazing views on Bora's main island. Staff: The definitely enhanced our time at Le Méridien. A specific mention to Jean-Marie whom we got to talk to a little more than the others since we would almost always end up having him as a waiter at the restaurant. We also really appreciated the kindness of other staff members: Mailanie, Uranui, Hoarii, Nicolas Quinn and the staff the the beach fare. We are pretty sure all staff was as friendly as them, but they are the ones we did get the chance to know. Restaurants: Good options for lunch and diner, better than other hotels we have been in French Polynesia. It also had the best breakfast brunch of all places we have been.

It was absolutely amazing!! Trip of a life time!

Nice hotel but very poor F&B management
Bora Bora is a paradise for sure but I believe that there is some kind of agreement amongst all the hotels to keep super top prices in order to somehow maintain the exclusivity of the destinations even during low season and hotel occupancy at 30%. Unuasual way to run the business in French polynesia specially if you think that is one of the few destinations worldwide losing market respects to similar paradise destinations. Said that about the Meridien I can say the I loved that most of the staff was super polite and attentive, most of them were really nice. Overwater bungalows amazing and well kept. What I didn't like is that I can't understand how an hotel like this pretend to be top class without investing on professional managers. It was absolutely clear to me that there is not an efficient F&B manager onsite supervising restaurant food and service quality. The smile of the waiters can't cover the fact that were unprepared and not loaded... just an example: second night we had a full Asian menu of 6-7 dishes and what was our surprise when we received the 14 portions of food at the same time filling the table completely and becoming cold minutes after minutes.. When you see this you understand that they have no F&B manager and that the service is unpredictable. Food quality was ok but overpriced for what offered. So unfortunately I have to say that I loved the experience and I was happy in Bora Bora but I would not come back heading to other destinations-hotels
