Stay here but don't eat here
Our room was excellent though the tv had to be fixed and the water in the sink took forever to drain away. The things that let this place down are the food and the add ons. Parking was a whopping £12.50 a night. We parked for free just across the road. The food was ridiculously over priced and very, very ordinary. Salt and pepper squid at £10 was expensive, even more so when we discovered it was battered squid not salt and pepper and for £10 you got just 5 tiny squid. We actually laughed. £20 for chicken and ham pie is way over priced. Especially when it's tasteless. My advice don't eat here. The outer doors to the restaurant area also kept blowing open with the wind and as a result several diners were eating with their coats on. Breakfast at £20 for both continental and full English was the most expensive ive ever come across. After our evening experience we didn't book it and when the next morning we took a sneaky look we were so glad we didn't. It looked less than ordinary. Instead we took breakfast at the Turkish place across the road and it was excellent. Stay here but dont eat here.

Great Hotel
We stayed at the White Horse after a long walk, the rooms were nicely decorated and clean, and the bed was comfortable. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and had breakfast at the hotel, the food was great on both occasions with plenty of choice. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a hotel in the area

great facilities and location.
overall the facilities and location were great. sadly, it was brought down by my first impression and contact with a staff member. as there were no parking spaces available, i went in to ask about this. as it had said on the site, "free parking available". i told the staff member this, and it seemed like she was ttelling me off for not ringing up. i was not made aware at all during the booking process, you had to call to reserve a parking space, no infomation was provided, but she seemed to insist it was my fault. she was quite stubborn and almost aggressive in her attitude and to be honest should not be front of house staff.
