Although slightly out of the city it was easy to travel in but had the benefit of a peaceful location. A hotel with a bit of character and class. Rooms were spacious and breakfast was varied and plentiful. Better to eat in the city although the Alte Schmiede restaurant nearby served excellent food in traditional surroundings.

Nice location, perfect personnel. All of them are so friendly and so helpful. Just cleaning room is hmmm discusable. My suggestion for cleaners: please check behind the desk and blends. Unless that all OK. Fantastic breakfast, all products were fresh and tasty. Juices, coffee and everything from menu... Just try uself won't you regret it

Great breakfast
Good first impressions. Staff spoke English well. Rooms clean, old fashioned. Very nice breakfast and had gluten free choices! Shame there was no restaurant on site but the trip to Dresden town centre was worth it.

Stayed there for 2 nights and sleeping only.
Staff was very friendly. Inside was very clean and well maintained.
Had a spacious room over 2 stories with the upper part basically being the bedroom.
Cannot say much about the location other than it is close to the Autobahn A4 and not too far from Dresden center.
The room had no air condition but opening the windows let in cool and fresh air in no time.
Especially for the rate I got the room, I was impressed and can recommend this hotel to anyone that likes to experience german upscale and "blue blood" accommodation of the early 20th century but with the amenities of today.

Everything I needed was great. They had a wedding reception that caused the dining room to be closed one day; but that was not an issue for me. Everything else was excellent, especially the staff.

Lovely hotel. €15 pn for a dog. Hotel Clean. Staff helpful but to recommending places to eat. We didn't have breakfast as we prefer to eat Brunch when out. No restaurant but a couple of good places near by (less than 2 km) Vier Jahreszeiren and Alte Schmiede are both great places to eat.

Nice hotel
The hotel is not really close to anything, so you need to be prepared that you need to drive into town for all.your needs. For our purposes it worked out ok tho. The room was spacious and clean. There are only a few things I didn't care about. The parking is a bit inconvenient. There is a parking garage below the hotel, but they are charging an additional 5 Euros per night. Unfortunately the only way to know that is when you already drove down that steep and narrow driveway to the parking garage and read the sign to check in at the reception first. At that point you have to put your car in reverse and see how to get back up the curved driveway without ruining your clutch. The free parking is a bit of a walk on cobble stones and a pain when the weather is not nice or the luggage is heavy. The second thing we absolutely didn't like it that we had absolutely NO Internet. Apparently the room we stayed in has no reception whatsoever, which was a known fact. The only way to connect to the outside world and report back to friends and family overseas was to take a laptop into the reception area and log in from there. I wish the hotel management would consider investing in a 50 dollar range extender.
