Overrated and Expensive
This was a $50 per night hotel for $100. The furnishings badly need refurbishing. The TV must have been at least 20 years old, with a grainy, washed-out picture, with a cathode ray picture (CRT) tube. The toilet needed triple flushing and the bathroom was dimly illuminated. The breakfast, if you can call it that, was an example of the minimalist menu. I only had the fruit - the rest was sugar-laden carbohydrate junk destined for denizens of trailer courts. A good thing was its location to where I needed to go and was within a triangular patch of land between three major arterial streets. Other than that, it was passable, livable, no injuries were sustained, no gunfights or fistfights. But, not my kind of hotel, unless it was 1/2 the price asked.

good nights stay
The room was clean and served our purposes. Parking was tight and the area around the hotel was congested. The personnel were helpful and accommodating.

Great place ran by better people
Great place and helpful owners. Offers shuttle to local area. Great place for staying near M.D. Anderson.

Positive but needs improvement
The rooms are clean and the staff is pleasant and efficient. The shuttle service is fantastic especially since we were there for my hubby's visit to the cancer center. The motel is near a lot of shopping and eating places. The place is undergoing remodeling, and the first things that should have been done were the bathrooms. The plumbing is older and looks grubby although it was very clean. The rooms are not large for an extended stay, but ok for no more than a week if there are two people. The TVs are very old (CRT), so investment in some new flat-screens would be nice, esp. since the remotes are barely functional. The beds are not horrible, but were not comfortable for me since I have fibromyalgia. The price is reasonable, esp. if you are a patient at M. D. Anderson. One other thing: if you need to drive to the medical center, the motel is conveniently located. Would stay again for a short time only.
