Efficient, Nice Ocean View, Room not so Nice
We stayed in the ocean view apartment and the view was lovely. The apartment building is nicely located in Old San Juan so it is easy to get around. The hotel let us leave our bags after check out, which was nice. There are two ocean view apartments. Only one of them looks like the one in the photos. The one we stayed in hasn't been updated, many of the outlets didn't have covers, the hot water in the bathroom sink didn't work, and the apartment amenities were old and rusty. The AC unit is located in the room with the regular bed, and there is a fan in the 2nd room which has a Murphy Bed, which was hard as a rock. So, only the room with the AC unit stayed cool. The bathroom and shower are tiny. I'm fairly petite and it was difficult for me to move around in the shower comfortably and we used the kitchen sink to brush our teeth because it was difficult to use the one in the bathroom. There is no desk or check in area. You must go to a hotel two blocks down to check in and get your key. We didn't know this and arrived wondering how we would get in the locked building. We called the number, but no answer and left a message and went to lunch. Still no call back, but discovered after reading reviews that we needed to do so. Check in was fine, and they were nice. Communication isn't easy, and for the cost I would expect the room to be in better shape. If you're looking for something easy and nice, look elsewhere. If you're ok on your own and just need a place to sleep it's ok.

8/10 Very good

Very nice location. From the balcony you have the most beautiful view. However, the people driving around always plays very very loud music, even at 1 am, 2 am. They shouldn’t do that. Anyway, it’s not the property issue and it should be the same anywhere in old San Juan

Disappointed
The place was nice but did not know we where on a third floor and no ramps. Definitely no disabled person access. Power and water were out and room next door was loud with party goers.

There was only air conditioning in one room. There was only one TV. They had no rags. When it rained it leaked into one of the rooms.

This location is a renovated OLD building and there are cultural things that we don’t always expect. Overall, the location worked fine, but if you’re looking for luxury—this is not your place. Our Zen room was on the 3rd floor and the location is at the top of the hill. So—2 streets uphill and then 3 flights of stairs… this took a few days to get accustomed with. There is only AC in the bedroom. It is a LARGE room so we just set up camp there and didn’t use the living room area at all. My husbands fav part was definitely the hammock. Also, there is no glass in the windows, just wrought iron grates that cranked open with curtains covering. So—crying littles next door, we could hear; the rain sounded like it was IN THE ROOM; the couple that went from partying to fighting, yep we heard all of that too. WIFI doesn’t connect with the TV so we had to use a hotspot. The water went out one day, we found out when we tried to flush the toilet… 😳 yikes. I called and the front desk just said oh yeah, hopefully it will come back on soon. A few hours later it did.

Loved the view. The apartment, however, was pretty gross. No hot water in bathroom sink. There is really only ac in half. AC flooded bedroom. We were transferred to the Terazzo, which was fabulous.
