Service was great but when I’m came to my grand suite with nice city views, it was ice cold. We turned the heat all the up & it only got colder. They did accommodate me with another suite which was warm but didn’t have the city view

Hotel is tough and inflexible on reservations.
Two days before my reservation, the party I was to work with in Chicago came down sick. I attempted to cancel or reschedule, but due to a loop-hole in the HOTELS.com agreement, unless I produced doctors letters for review (which I was not going to ask my work mate for) I would have to take a full loss on the booking.

REMINDER...You get what you pay for.
I did not take the time to ask why this hotel had such reasonable rates compared to the last MUTIPLE times I had stayed there. No house cleaning, no room ammenities(bottled water), now wonderful doormen and construction sites including dust and noise on multiple floors. AND NO WARNING!!! Shame on them.

It was supposed of been a nice romantic night but it ended being a bad night and made the most of it!! Heater in the suite didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it so we had to be moved to a different room!

Oh my gosh we’re to start it was terrible. Front desk people hate their job, no doorman, stains on carpet and ceiling, faucet handle in shower broken, no maid service each day (I mean we were there for 5 days really!!!) and someone threw up on the curb and sidewalk. It was 10:30 and still not cleaned up and cig buds everywhere. Complete joke!!! Motel 6 looks better. Take the idea of a quaint “boutique “ hotel and this no longer applies to them! We have stayed there at least 15 times in 11 years and will not be back. I am so unhappy and disappointed.

Room Layout and Amenities not what expected
I have stayed at the Raffaello before and so I thought I knew what I was getting myself into, but boy was I wrong. I stayed in the Grand Suite. It is definitely large enough to sleep 3-4 people since it has a king size bed, a couch, and a murphy bed. But, the bathroom is in the back of the bedroom. My friend staying on the murphy bed had to go through the bedroom every time he needed to use the restroom. There was a nice bar area, but it didn't have a sink, which meant that even to get a little drink of water, you had to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom sink. It also would have been nice to have a coffee maker, and some basic utensils (plates, silverware, etc.) stocked in the cupboards. What should have been a nice wet bar with stuff in the cupboards was completely empty. There isn't any room service at the hotel as far as I can tell, there is a small cafe running in the lobby with very inconvenient hours (opens fairly late and closes really early). The furniture is very strangely arranged. The desk is in the area with the Murphy bed, which meant that once my friend went to sleep, the desk was off limits. There is plenty of room to have the desk out in the main area next to the couch. It is awkward walking in and having a big open space and the furniture sort of clustered around the outskirts of the room. The website says a DVD player is in each room and shows a picture, but in the room there is no DVD player and a sign saying BluRay players upon request.
