Close to Dartmouth where we had to go for a Dr appointment
Ok place. Need to be updated. Peeling wallpaper, mold and rust. Very close to everything you need.
First the night guy Alan is awesome, but the morning Supervisor should be fired. The 1st room had hairs all over the bathroom and the fresh sheets were questionable. The neighbors started fighting at 5:30am and apparently live in the hotel. I have never heard the word "Fuck" so mamy times in my life.i complained and the Supervisor did nothing at all. Came back to my room at 3 PM to the guests still fighting, swearing and a dog barking. Really sounded like domestic violence, the girl was screaming and the colorful language continued. Went downstairs and asked for another room and got attitude and an eye roll after explaining what was going on. 2nd room had stained carpet, the headboard had a chunk taken out of it, the bed felt broken and the shower curtain rod was being held up by 2 wooden blocks with screws coming out. The next morning the people who were fighting were outside in front of door smoking and letting their dog urinate, the supervisor watched and said nothing. While eating the free breakfast, which you should Seriously avoid, the people hungout at the front desk being loud and the supervisor letting the dog jump on the counter. Guests had to ask for the couple to move the dog so they could get by. It was really uncomfortable earing and having a dog stare at you. Not once did the Supervisor say anything to them. Not sure if they are relatives and staying there for free, but someone should seriously inspect the place. The place is a dump.
The location was convenient and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
Quick and easy
It was great that they allowed dogs. Everything was super clean. All staff were very helpful
Location was o.k. with several restaurants within walking distance. I sometimes wonder when booking through Expedia if for some reason clients are given subpar rooms. Hotel was no where near occupancy and our room for three days was not up to par with similar Comfort Inns. Although appeared clean, faucets badly scratched, door bottoms with chips missing, toilet runs constantly, etc. Breakfast typical continental hotel style. Staff o.k. but seemed to have various staff just hanging around. Tried to print a plane ticket but no toner in printer and desk staff not able to figure how to do it. Probably would try some place else in area in future if possible
I would have given this a 5 rating except the lighting in the room was HORRIBLE. I asked at the desk for a different bulb for the vanity and they said they were required to use those particular bulbs. I couldn't see to put my make-up on even though I brought along a little lighted mirror. To me, that is inexcusable, as there are so many safe low wattage LED lights on the market. It is depressing to be in a dimly lit room and frustrating to even pick out your clothing. I used a flashlight which I brought with me but a CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT BE INCONVENIENCED !!!
If you like being out among the little villages of Vermont, you'll love this location, which is just off the Interstate and easy to find. There are an amazing number of different eating options in the area, too, for such a small place (check out the BBQ place adjacent!). While the outside of the facility looks like every other Comfort Inn that one has grown familiar with and knows to trust, the interior gives the impression of needing some work (rugs dingy looking, wallpaper peeling the bathroom, cloth shower curtain musty smelling, etc.). Overall, the room was quite spacious, and the beds very comfortable. Also a mini-fridge and good WiFi. The breakfast itself was very good, offering lots of choice, but the breakfast area gets pretty congested during "peak hours." All things considered, would we stay here again? Positively!
One night overnight stay while traveling in the area to experience the fall foliage.
