Turned on in room ‘ No shower , because room had Big Draft thru Gaps around Door !!! Most Uncomforting bed Ever , the Owners should stay in Each room till they Sort it spit & make it Comfortable not just on Looks Alone ...Would Not Stay Again ‘

The Palo Alto Inn - Palo Alto
We used to book two rooms in Palo Alto for the NCAA baseball Regionals at the Westin. As our team won, we had two extend our stay. My wife went online and accidentally booked the Palo Alto Inn by mistake. We caught the mistake within 30 minutes. The Palo Alto Inn refused to cancel the reservation due "to policy" and had no leverage whatsoever to make them do so and really did not care that they would not cancel the reservation. We paid a Westin price for Motel 6 motel rooms (This place is NOT a hotel or even close to and "Inn"). Once we arrived it was obvious why they would not cancel...there was no one there. We asked what the normal rate to book direct was and they $500.00 per night. No one and I mean no one would pay $500.00 a night for a room at this location. I cannot give this "Inn" a favorable recommendation of any type since they used a "policy" to basically make us stay there. They also refused to give me my credit card receipt for incidentals that they insisted on when we checked in. The desk clerk said that she had to turn in into the main office. She said that there were no charges on the card. But, you know you are at a sketchy place when they list the cost of the hair dryer, clock, blankets, etc in chased they are removed from the premises. I will not be surprised at all if we have charges on our incidentals bill when we get our statement. We have used exclusively for our lodging, we will no longer use their services either.

For $300 you would expect hot water at the least!
In Palo Alto you are forced to pay Napa Luxury hotel prices for the simplest of Motels. What you expect is a comfortable bed to rest on and a hot shower to get you prepared for business the next day.. On this stay, I ended up taking a luke warm shower at best...shivering while trying to shave as I couldn't get hot water out of my shower. Not a great start to my day and for $300 per night...and absolute rip off. You would also think at this price the owner could afford a modern credit card machine. He still writes the information down on the back of your reservation and has a carbon credit card inprinter from 1998! No exactly secure. This from a hotel in the greatest Tech city in America.
