The price was good. The room was clean and adequate. The doors from the parking to the hall did not lock as indicated by the sign near the key card reader. Anyone could walk in. Meanwhile the card reader on our door was a problem. We had to swipe several times for the dio to open. The parking spaces nearest to the building were not properly cleared of snow and black ice. The continental breakfast was a paper bag filled with a juice box, a cereal bar, a mini muffin and a fruit cup. I get that precautions need to be taken, but at the very least adult potions in the bag, or better yet partner with Dunkin’ Donuts a few doors down and give gift cards for breakfast. At least you can score some coffee.

The room was not properly cleaned. Lamps and other areas of room were very dirty. Front desk arrived to clean and there were candy wrappers on the bed by linen.

Tobacco smelling non-smoking hotel
Older hotel okay except you can’t convert a smoking hotel into a non-smoking hotel and expect the tobacco smell to vanish. Non-smokers can tell.

Worst nightmare?
I’m furious, after making a reservation because I was traveling from far away. Made it about 12:30am there was no one at the counter. There was a note with a phone number I called, it was front desk, who’s going to answer when no one is there. Drove more than 18 hours, exhausted and eager to get to the hotel and rest and to find out no one is there to give you service.

Days Inn still has a hold on my card after the man at the desk told me it would be back in my account immediately after leaving.

When checking in the lobby area smelled like marijuana. There was no indication that the room had been properly sanitized. The tub/shower had mold in the grout. The tv clicker didn’t work. Room was expensive $143 with tax. So not worth the money.
